I saw the sign. Bushwick/Berlin local Daniel Brunet’s impressive series of signs and businesses old and new from Grand Street to Flushing Avenue, between Bushwick Avenue and Morgan Avenue.  Also interesting, hilarious, and beautiful is his "English in Berlin" series.

Worthy ventures. Those Third Ward boys are good. They are next level entrepreneurs, recently profiled by New York Magazine …the one with Madonna’s scary puffy mug on the cover.

A City Was Born. One of my favorite songs from the Welcome to Bushwick compilation by Drew and the Medicinal Pen has a "music film," shot on Super 8 while train hopping.

Music Hotpad.  What the hell is a "MUSIC HOTPAD"? This craigslist ad reminds me of the way my friends mom used to awkwardly talk to us in high school about "head slamming" to "Fugassi."  But hey, if you know what a music hotpad is, or want to be near all of the Bushwick hot spots, maybe this place is for you.
